As a part of our special Klika Service Awards program, Klika decided to devote this blog space to our colleagues who reached five or more years of working at Klika during this quarter of the year. By sharing their experience and stories of their career path, members of our team celebrating the 5 year milestone encourage and motivate young engineers at Klika, but also in the IT industry in general.
Today we are presenting Almin Halilović, our Technical Lead (Cloud Services Backend) and a member of Klika for 5 years.
Enjoy your read!
Dear Almin, we are happy to celebrate this milestone with you!
You’ve been growing with Klika for five years, and we are looking forward to your future milestones and achievements!
Let’s start with a simple question! Which project are you working on and what is your current role?
I am working on the Bawag project as a Technical Lead for backend developers.
Tell us more about your career path at Klika. Have your roles and projects changed during the time?
Yes, I worked on a couple of projects and changed several roles within them. I started my journey on the Smart Bed IoT project as a backend engineer. After some time, my role upgraded to platform engineer and later to Technical Lead. After 3 years spent there, I moved to the Bawag project where I work currently.
What do you like the most about Klika? What makes Klika special and motivates you to keep riding the waves?
Klika is a company full of great individuals and great teams. Management strives to make people happy and fulfilled, which results in people becoming the best version of themselves. It was very fun for me to be part of this experience and observe other colleagues who developed into really great professionals. Let’s see where the waves take us ;)
What do you consider your biggest accomplishment during the period you spent at Klika?
On both projects, we built lots of cool and interesting features and helped clients deliver a great experience to their customers. There were few of my favourites, but if I have to choose a situation where I personally felt very accomplished, I would pick the period when I was leading teams on two projects towards big releases they had. There were many challenges and problems we managed to solve and lots of difficult situations we overcame. We succeeded to meet the deadlines on both fronts and had two really good parties afterwards to celebrate.
What’s your favorite memory from the time you spent at Klika so far?
There are many good memories. I would point out bi-weekly trips to Vienna we had on Bawag before the pandemic. The team always had a great time together and it was a lot of fun.
How do you see yourself at Klika in the next five years? What’s your future vision of Klika?
I see Klika as a global company having offices in multiple countries. It would be interesting to spread the culture built in Sarajevo to the rest of the world.
What is a piece of advice that you would like to share with people who are just getting started their career at Klika?
Always give your best, even if nobody is looking. Hard work and good results are recognized, even if you think nobody sees it.
Thank you!
