As a part of our special Klika Service Awards program, Klika decided to devote this blog space to our colleagues who reached five or more years of working at Klika during this quarter of the year. By sharing their experience and stories of their career path, members of our team celebrating the 5 year milestone encourage and motivate young engineers at Klika, but also in the IT industry in general.
Today we are presenting Tibor Jevicki, our Technical (Mobile) Lead and a member of Klika for 5 years.
Enjoy your read!
Dear Tibor, we are happy to celebrate this milestone with you!
You’ve been growing with Klika for five years, and we are looking forward to your future milestones and achievements!
Let’s start with a simple question! Which project are you working on and what is your current role?
Why, only the greatest project of them all. I am currently an Android developer and team lead on our biggest IoT project.
Tell us more about your career path at Klika. Have your roles and projects changed during the time?
Well, I came here as a not so experienced young developer, focused on code quality since the beginning. It appears, it was a good thing to focus on, since it got me quite far in my career. But in the end, not much has changed, other than new responsibilities in the team development area.
What do you like the most about Klika? What makes Klika special and motivates you to keep riding the waves?
The thing that keeps me here is the opportunity for personal growth that hasn't ceased yet. My and my teammates' skills keep growing by each day spent working. *in hushed voice* The other thing is money, but don't tell anyone.
What do you consider your biggest accomplishment during the period you spent at Klika?
It's the Android team of the project I work on, without a doubt. We have created a team of high quality developers that works so well that it ended up being like a known brand of mobile dev teams. I feel proud that I was one of the people who started it all.
What’s your favorite memory from the time you spent at Klika so far?
It might be strange, but it is one of our huge release crunches. We were excited, in a good mood, and got very close with our team mates. We converted a lot of chocolate into some good code, and a lot of meh code. In the end, our soft and development skills literally trippled.
How do you see yourself at Klika in the next five years? What’s your future vision of Klika?
My personal goal, which is very much aligned with the company's interest, is to bring mobile app code quality to meet the highest industry standards on any project Klika needs me. I will be satisfied here as long as there is bad code to improve, which is… forever???
What is a piece of advice that you would like to share with people who are just getting started their career at Klika?
I guess it is individual, so I can give some advice to people like me – never stop working on your personal skills, even when a project you are working on doesn't force you. It pays off in the long run.
Thank you!
